Although
my sweet granddaughters are at the top of the
list, I actually DO have some other interests!
LOL!
I
was born in Canada March 2nd, 1948, but have
lived here in Arizona most of my life ~ and
really do love it here! I enjoy just about any
kind of craft and am always open to trying new
ones. Those I've listed below are the ones I
spend the most time on at the moment though, as
well as a couple of non-craft loves ~

Thank you, Erlene
- my
priceless friend! L&MU! |

Thank you, Dorene. I think
about you, too. {{Hugs}} |

Thank you, Gramma
MiMi. This is so cute!

My
friend, Erlene, taught me how to crochet when my
daughter, Gina, was still in high school, so I
guess that must have been about the mid-'80s. I
started off doing a bunch of baby things, like
blankets (because they were easy), and baby
clothes (because they were small). Before I knew
it I had a footlocker full of baby stuff!! I was
actually ready to be a Gramma long before I was
ready for Gina to have a baby! Of course, I did
branch out and make many other things besides
baby clothes and accessories, and always have my
eye out for cute patterns.
Here
are a few good crochet sites that you might like
to visit.
Crochet Guild of America - This site
has a Message Board to talk about and ask questions
about crochet, a Library, How to Crochet Lessons, and
much more!
Crochet Partners - Here you'll
find books, classifieds, chat, columns, a pattern
library, and a reference desk for help. More links,
too!
Crochet Musings - Patterns
and lots of crochet pages.
"Buzzin' With Bea's Crochet" - Lots of
patterns and links.
~ Nice Ways to Help While
Doing Something You Love! ~
Crochet
Cabana - This wonderful site promotes
the making of small blankies (or caps and booties if
you prefer) for premies in various hospitals who need
them. Visit here for all the information.
Project Linus - Another nice
charity site - originally started to provide handmade
blankets to children with cancer, it is now dedicated
to providing security blankets to sick children all
around the world.

My introduction to cross stitch
came when I thought I could whip out a counted cross
stitch picture for my friend, Erlene, in a couple
months for her birthday in May! I think she got
it at Christmas! *smile* I'm a rookie when it
comes to cross stitch compared to other friends I
have who cross stitch, but I enjoy it. I've made
birth records for both my granddaughters, a
Christmas stocking for Meghan, and am working on
a Christmas stocking for Emily. I haven't made
anything for myself yet, but when Emily's
stocking is done I would like to do that. (See my
first site link below for my goal along that
line!)
I have a few sites listed below
that I have enjoyed.
Told In A
Garden - Designer Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum's
site. One day when all my projects are done my goal
is to make one of Marilyn's gorgeous angels! The only
problem is deciding which one. She has other designs
as well, but the angels are exquisite!!
"Counted Cross Stitch" - Lots of
free charts online!
DMC. Home Page - Product
information, projects, charts and more can be found
here.
All Stitched
Up - One of the largest online cross
stitch shops offering discounts on popular designs,
fabrics, fibers, specialty threads, stitchables, and
beads. Also Disney kits, as well as a variety of
tools and accessories.
Simply Unique - Is this
neat, or what?! These folks will create a cross
stitch pattern from a favorite photo! I think the
price is pretty reasonable, too...

I've been
a Suns basketball fan since 1976. I'm quite sure
that in the last 25 years there haven't been more
than 10 games that I haven't either been at,
watched on TV, or listened to on the radio.
I'm
not very happy with the Suns management right now
since they seem to be totally dismantling the
team. To say that I'm upset that they traded
Jason Kidd would be an understatement! Usually I
can see the reasoning behind trade decisions,
even if I'm not happy that a player is
leaving...but this one boggles my mind. Rather
than go on a huge 'rant' here I will just say for
now that Jason Kidd will be missed - and I think
that this trade will go down in Suns history as
one of the top two worse trades in franchise
history! I hope I'm wrong...
Phoenix Suns - Inside the Suns, schedule and
scores, players, stats, Suns theater, arena and
tickets, Suns history, Kids Court.
NBA - News and
features, players, teams, NBA theater, scores and
stats, NBA Store, and more.
Arizona
Central - Suns information plus links to
other Arizona sports, including colleges and
universities, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Coyotes, and
Mercury.
Yahoo Sports - Start here
and go to any team you want for all the latest
information you might want on any NBA team.

I won this award
for answering all the quiz questions
correctly at the Phoenix
Suns Above the Rim site.
If you're a Suns fan why don't you go on
over and give it a try yourself!

I was
really enjoyed collecting Beanies starting in
1997 and have
quite an extensive collection from that time
period. I really think they're *darling*. I'd
probably still be collecting them if the
retailers hadn't ruined it by marking them up so
much and selling them out the back door. They
really took the fun out of it for me. My favorite
Beanie is Seamore. Initially he was the only one
I wanted because I collect harp seals, but in my
search for him unfortunately I got hooked! I have
many extras from the 1997-1998 time frame that
I am willing to sell. Everything I have is
retired now, and there are some I would be
willing to sell at no higher than the lowest
price listed in the weekly price list range put
out by BeanieMom. Of
course, what I have may vary from day to day, and
personally I don't care if I sell any of them,
but if they would go to a good home where they'll
be loved I'd consider selling them ~ so if you're
looking for a particular Beanie, feel free to email me to see if
I have it, and I'll see what I can do.
Ty Web Site - Official
home of TY, including Beanie Babies, Beanie Buddies,
Attic Treasures, Pillow Pals, Beanie Connection, and
Guestbook (where you can buy and sell Beanies).
BeanieMom - Tons of
the latest up-to-date information about Beanie Babies
and related collectables!
eBay - Probably
one of the largest online auction houses on the web
for everything from antiques to books...and, of
course, Beanies!
The ToyBox - Tons of
the latest news on Beanie Babies!
Beaniemonium - Another
site with Beanie news, fun facts, and information.
Thanks
for stopping by! I've really been getting into
amature desktop publishing and graphics for awhile
now and will probably add a section on those things
soon with links as well. I hope you will check out my
grandparenting- related pages, if you haven't
already. 'Cause, heck, all this stuff is just
"fluff" as compared to those precious
grandbabies!

I received this
random act of kindness in my guestbook in
January of 1999. After visiting them to say
'thank you' I immediately joined this
wonderful group of internet people. To find
out what it's all about, click on the gift...
I would be pleased if you could
take a moment and sign my guestbook.
