Meghan & Emily

My little rainbows!

These are my sweet granddaughters, Meghan and Emily! Meghan is on the right and was born on September 29th, 1996, and Emily, on the left, was born on February 8th, 1998. One of the quotes in the Poems & Quotes section of my site is "Every time a child is born a grandparent is born, too!" and when I became "Gramma" it was unlike any feeling I had experienced up to that point in my life - and I thought I had experienced about every feeling there was at that point in my life. *smile* Boy, was I wrong!

These little girls are somethin' special alright. To see more pictures of these sweet little girls visit my daughter Gina's site. This is what's going on in their lives right now...

~ MEGHAN ~

Meghan turned five on 9/29/01, and she's getting to be such a big girl. She went to preschool two mornings a week last year and has been going three mornings a week this year and just loves it. She started her second year of a ballet and tap class, which she really enjoys! She's really gotten into computer and DVD games, and has her own laptop. LOL Luckily there are a lot of wonderful educational games for children that are available, and she would play them all the time if she could. Meghan is definitely more 'intellectual' than 'physical', but her experiences in preschool and dance have helped her to become a lot more outgoing. She's a really sweet little girl, and I just love her to pieces!

~ EMILY ~

It's hard to believe that Emily turned four on 2/8/02! There's never a dull moment with this little sweetie. She's a lot more 'physical' than Meghan was at this age, but she's also very smart, too. She loves to try to do whatever her big sister, Meghan, does. She definitely has a mind of her own though. Emily started in preschool this year, and has the teacher Meghan had last year, who she knows, which is nice for her. Emily started dance class with Meghan this year and just loves it. She learned some of Meghan's steps from watching her last year, so she had kind of a head start. She's also learning the computer games that Meghan has been playing, so I predict another computer in the near future at their house. *smile*
